The Pearl River Beautification Committee

The Pearl River Beautification committee was set up to promote the beautification and revitalization efforts of the downtown business district. The many goals of this committee include improvement of sidewalks, planting of trees, supplying street furniture, and providing seasonal flowers and holiday decorations to the downtown area.

The ongoing effort to achieve these goals has been made possible with the help of volunteers, chamber members, local residents and community service groups who are responsible for donating and raising the necessary funds to expedite some of these goals.

The fund-raising events to date have enabled the committee to purchase wrought iron planters for seasonal flowers, holiday lights, banners and wreaths. With applications and proposals submitted to state and local governments we hope to capture additional funds to complete these extensive and costly projects.
